Three Children burnt beyond recognition at Nkwanta

Residents at Nkwanta in the Volta Region are in a state of shock after three children were burnt beyond recognition when fire razed their home, Wednesday.

The fire which started in the morning is suspected to have been fueled by gallons of pre-mix fuel stored in the house. Attempts by the officers of the Ghana National Fire Service and bystanders to rescue the children who were trapped in a room proved futile.

A bridegroom has met his untimely death during a reception to climax his holy matrimony Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred at Tafo Pankrono-Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. Collins Anim, deceased and Ruth Oduro, bride were joined in holy matrimony at a wedding ceremony Saturday.

The groom Collins Anim reportedly collapsed and died few minutes later during the refreshment ceremony after he had tied the nuptial with his wife, Ruth Anim (Mrs.) at Pankrono branch of the Pentecost Church in Kumasi. Witnesses,and families of the couple are extremely shocked at the unfortunate incident with many reading meaning into the sudden demise of the groom. The body has since been deposited at the morgue.
