Final Year Student Falls to death At Prempeh College In Kumasi














A friendly confrontation among two final year students at the last floor of the dormitory block at the Prempeh College Senior High School  saw them slipping and crashing onto the tiled floor of the three-storey Opoku Ware II House. One student, Samuel Asare Bediako, has died and the other Tahiri Kofi Boateng, sustained multiple injuries. Some students who witnessed the incident told Erastus Asare Donkor “One was sitting on the banister and the other came to hug him but in the process the one who was sitting on the barrister slipped and while he was falling, he dragged the one who was hugging him along. “They both fell onto the tiles and one bled profusely”, one student said. Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital say Samuel Asare Bediako a final year Business student sustained severe brain injuries and died the same day – Friday October 9, 2015 – at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. The other student, Tahiri Kofi Boateng, a final year Science student who is currently on admission sustained multiple fractures on his right arm and some injuries to the head. He is however responding to treatment. The incident has frightened the students and they say they will no longer sit on the balustrades. School authorities have refused to comment on the incident.
