Press Men in Mahama's Convoy Sustains Varying Degrees of Injuries in Another Accident

Press men returning from presidential duties have been involved in an accident.in the Western Region One of the vehicles in the president's convoy is said to have run into the vehicle carrying the press men. One of the journalists, Benjamin Peters who was part of the press corps confirmed. The vehicle which bumped into the press corps later run into a a new radio station- Radio 360, Peters said. 7:00pm on the road between Beahu and Akowen communities in the Western Region, Monday. No fatalities have been recorded but some of the journalists are said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries. A Citi
FM correspondent whose injury appears to be quite serious has been rushed to the hospital. About 12 journalists were in the vehicle when the accident occured. Peters said the vehicle was provided to them by the Regional Communications branch of the NDC. It is the second time in two months press men covering the president has been involved in an accident. The first happened in Afienya-Dawhenya in August and it claimed the life of a journalist, Samuel Nuamah who was with the Times newspaper. He was buried last month.
