A 12-year-old girl has drowned at Amanfrom, a suburb of Ngleshi Amanfrom in  Greater Accra Region Mavis Akufo was said to have gone to the banks of the Weija Lake to fetch water with three other siblings at 10:00 a.m. on Monday when the tragic incident occurred.

The outgoing Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey has revealed that some politicians attempted to bribe him with $100, 000 to prevent him from making negative comments on national issues. Prof. Martey, who failed to mention whether the politicians were NDC or NPP members alleged that the politicians also promised to give him a mansion at Trasaaco and a V8 vehicle if he remained silent on national issues.

It's seemingly practised in some parts of Africa (rural areas that is), but I think this was a section from a film/movie. I am innocent of GHC11.6m gold fraud - Obinim

 The founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim claims that he is innocent of an alleged GHS11.6 million gold fraud leveled against him by a complainant. Lawyer for Bishop Obinim, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea, said that his client has denied defrauding the complainant in question by false pretense as alleged against him.  Mr Obinim was reported to the CID by the complainant, who parted with the said amount to the man of God for spiritual assistance but to no avail, hence his arrest.
