Atebubu: NDC Office Burnt Down; Two Arrested

The constituency office of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Atebubu-Amanten District in the Brong Ahafo region has been burnt down amidst refusal by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Sampson Owusu Boateng to step down.

Nigeria never ceases to amaze us. Apparantly in Nigeria, not all coffins carries corpse. This particular coffin carry instruments of death. Pictures circulating on social media suggests that a man, disguised as a pastor was leading a group of people also under the disguise of burial, to transport ammunition. They were intercepted on their way from Lagos to Ondo.

Nigeria: Ekiti women protest half naked over arrest of 30 persons

The arrest of thirty persons by the Ekiti State Police Command in connection with an attempt to burn down the palace of Elemule of Emure Ekiti , Oba Emmanuel Adebayo have been met with a stiff protest by half naked women in Emure Ekiti. In a bid to drive home their displeasure against the monarch and the police, the angry half-naked women were seen carrying leaves while singing hate songs against their ruler, demanding that their wards be released.

At least seven dead bodies have been found inside a pit at Obibi community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State. A close source to the community said the unidentified bodies were discovered following fresh violence in the area.
