A DAF truck rammed into the bus of the presidential staffers at the rear and almost fell from the interchange, but ended up leaning against the pillars. Fifteen staffers heading to the State House were involved in a near-fatal accident at the Ako Adjei Interchange in Accra, Thursday The Cantonments Police Station confirmed the motor crash and impounded the vehicles for investigations into the incident. The driver of the vehicle, whose name is not yet known, told the police in a statement he had a brake failure and had to hit the Flagstaff House bus to park. “It was the pillar which saved the bus from falling,” an eyewitness said. The 15 staffers sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment at the hospital.
