Bishop Daniel Obinim, Founder of the International God’s Way Church has been granted bail on Thursday He spent two nights in police detention, when he reported to the Tema Police on Tuesday after being declared wanted for his alleged involvement in GH¢ 11.6 million fraud.
Bishop Daniel arrived home to a rousing welcome from members of his
church and relations who have been demanding for his release ever since
he was arrested.
Hundreds of his supporters thronged his home to show their support to
the Bishop who claims he is innocent of the charges
preferred against him.
Bishop Obinim was granted bail with two sureties for each of the
offences he was arrested. Details of the bail conditions still remain
sketch. Counsel for the accused Atta Akyea claims the arrest of his client is to
water down the steam that would hitherto have greeted the remission of
the Montie trio by President John Dramani Mahama.
