Christabel Ekeh, ghanaian actress said she sought for spiritual help before acting in 'Candle In The Wind' an upcoming movie by Venus Film. The beautiful actress revealed at the movie’s press screening at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra last week. “When I read the script I was moved, and I like scripts that move me… When I read the script and I saw that the role was so touching, I prayed about it… I wanted to really portray that character without evening trying. I had to take some bits and pieces from myself, like when you lose something and you cannot even afford to accept that you have lost that thing and you keep going back. I had to reach within me and I had to seek some other spiritual help…,” the actress revealed. The actress was not specific on who she went to for the spiritual help or what exactly it involved. She played the role of a village girl called Afia who was madly in love with her childhood boyfriend George, played by James Gardner. They had plans to get married but fate had different plans for them. George travelled to the city to find a job only to be offered money and properties to marry his boss’ daughter while Afia was left in the village. The movie will officially be released at a red carpet grand premiere on January 1, 2015.
