Murder In Kumasi

OCCUPANTS OF a house at Nana Appiah Area, a suburb of Buokrom Estate in Kumasi, have been hit by fear following the brutal murder of a co-tenant. The deceased, identified as Suzy, who was 25 years old, was found dead in her locked room with bloodstains on several parts of her lifeless body. Speculations are that she was killed and locked in the room for about three days before the other tenants got to know. It is alleged that one Mr Baffuor, a car dealer in Kumasi who is Suzy’s lover, killed the young lady and vanished into thin air to escape arrest. The two love birds, who have stayed in the house for six months, reportedly fought over a certain issue during the Christmas period. The other occupants of the house thought that Baffuor and Suzy had resolved their differences, only to find out that Suzy had been killed and locked in a room.

Baffuor, who the occupants suspect to have killed Suzy, has strangely gone into hiding, heightening suspicions that indeed he killed the young lady. . Richard Boakye, the house owner, said a bad odour that emanated from the room enabled the tenants to discover the shocking murder. He said on Nhyira FM that he last saw Mr Baffuor in the house on Sunday afternoon after he (Boakye) returned from church. Boakye said on Monday he knocked on Mr Baffuor’s door for several minutes with the hope of serving them with their electricity bill but nobody responded. He said he did not sense any danger at that time so he left and returned the next day (Tuesday) and again nobody answered when he knocked.

Boakye said he was about leaving the place when he (Boakye) smelled a bad scent which was emanating from the room. He said he alerted other occupants of the house and when they opened the door, they found Suzy lying on the bed dead with clothes covering her body. According to him, the disturbing matter has been reported to the police, who have since started investigations into the dicey matter.
