Black Stars' Keeper Kwarasey returns for Canada Clash

Adam Larsen Kwarasey
An invitation  has gone out to USA-based goalkeeper, Adam Kwarasey for next month’s friendly against Canada in the United States capital of Washington. The 28-year-old, who is in top form for his MLS side, told a Ghanaian journalist that he is returning to the national team for the first time since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Adam Kwarasey went 'exile' after the tournament in Brazil. He went public hitting out at Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer, Nassam Yakubu and the technical staff over team selection at the World
Cup. After several meetings and talks with Ghana coach Avram Grant and the leadership of the Ghana FA, Kwarasey has confirmed his return to the Black Stars for Ghana’s friendlies against Peru and Canada in October. If confirmed, Kwarasey’s return means there will be intense competition for the keeper's position in the squad as goalkeepers Razak Brimah, Fatau Dauda and Richard Ofori seeks to capture the first team place. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that they are playing a friendly against Canada on 13 October but have not revealed a friendly with Peru.
