GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi |
The Queens returned to Ghana last Sunday after winning gold in the All Africa games in Congo, but their feat has been overshadowed by their protest at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra. The players are demanding for their bonuses and prize money of over $20,000 each to be paid to them before they leave the M-Plaza Hotel. The GFA President who paid a visit to the team on Monday stated that the GFA is unhappy about the situation and is ready to reach a common ground with all stakeholders to end the stand-off. “No one is happy with the current happenings and we should all be committed to resolving the problem. We are all not having any sleep about the concerns of the team”, . It’s unfortunate and we have to find a way around it. There should be a solution soon because it’s embarrassing everybody,” Nyantakyi said.
