"President Mahama’s comment is perfectly correct,” – Asiedu Nketia

Speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Wednesday, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the ruling NDC, who sees nothing wrong with the comment of the president said, since we are in a democratic country, it is important to respect the views of every citizen. “We are in a democratic world, and everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. When Bawumia called Mahama incompetent, the NPP said nothing and so why must they descend on him (Mahama) for responding. I think the president’s comment is perfectly correct,” he asserted. He says President Mahama’s response to the running mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is the perfect gift he could ever receive. President Mahama while addressing NDC supporters in Accra, lambasted Dr. Bawumia and NPP communicators for describing him and his government as “incompetent.” According to the president, Dr. Bawumia does not have the right to describe him as such because he (Bawumia) does not know what it takes to be president. Mahama said: “I will take that word from Kufuor or Rawlings because they have been there before. All of you guys have never ever come near the presidency, and you stand there and say incompetent Mahama administration… What do you know about competence?”
