Kumasi: Machomen destroy ballot boxes at Suame

Voters, journalists, polling agents and EC officials had to take to their heels for their dear life as about 20 machomen welding sticks and stones moves in to destroy two ballot boxes at the New Suame MA JHS polling station of the Suame Constituency. One of the macho men claimed that they were upset by the negative posture of party and EC officials towards their candidate, Mr Francis Dodovi. He explained that the agents of the other candidate, Mr Brogya Genfi, had accreditation and copies of the register while their agents were left out and treated as though they were not part of the process. Immediately after the destruction, they left the scene. EC officials have since replaced the two boxes and voting is going on smoothly. Security has been increased.
