South Africa: Pastor dies of malnutrition trying to emulate Jesus' 40 days fasting

Congregants of a church in South Africa, were shocked to the bone when they were informed of the death of their 44-year-old pastor who tried to emulate Jesus, when he also tried fasting for 40 days and 40 nights without food.
His lifeless body was found in the bush, where he spent his days in prayer, by a man who was passing by. Pastor Alfred Ndlovu died of malnutrition after 30 days without food. The unidentified man alerted police who informed his family and congregation of his death.

Shocked by the sad news, his family and church members believed that Ndlovu was a very “spiritual person whose faith could move mountains.”
