Tracey Boakye, a Kumawood actress, was spotted at the NDC’s campaign launch held at Cape Coast in a new BMW X6 car. Tracey shot a campaign commercial with her colleague Gloria Kani for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The actress cum movie producer was accused of taking a car and house from NDC for endorsing the party and its flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama but she vehemently denied the allegation when she spoke to Dave Hammer on Kumasi-based Hello FM weeks ago.
Photos of Tracey in the new car at the campaign launch have rekindled the rumour that NDC dashed her a car for her campaign video. Social media commentators who chanced on pictures of the ‘Odo’ actress with her car at the campaign launch concluded that the white BMW X6 is the machine government gave her but she was tight lipped on the accusation when she was contacted.
When pressed further, she said, “Whether its mine or not, I’m driving it. I drive cars licensed in my name, I don’t drive people’s cars” she laughed.
Checks have revealed that a brand new BMW X6 is estimated to be $62,395 (Gh 244,738).
