Tema: House help forced to drink urine as punishment

On Friday, August 12, 2016, Emma Boahene, a 72-year-old woman has forced her 13-year-old house help to drink 1.5 liter bottle of urine in Tema. The suspect, made her house help to drink the urine as a punishment for urinating into 1.5 liters Voltic bottle at night.
According to the police, ASP Juliana Obeng, the old woman from Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region claimed, the victim has on countless occasions flouted her instructions to urinate outside and not in the Voltic bottle because she does not dispose it off in the mornings.

But the 13-year-old who feels unsafe urinating outside the house at night said, she uses the bottle to protect her life. The accused assaulted and forced the victim to drink her urine in the 1.5 liter bottle as punishment for not pouring it out in the morning.

A report was subsequently lodged at the Tema Community One police, when the victim narrated her ordeal to a friend and the 72-year-old, Emma Boahene was arrested. She has been charged with emotional and psychological torture and the victim has been treated and discharged from the Tema General Hospital.
