Atebubu: Sanja Nanja driven away from mothers' day celebration

Hon Sanja Nanja, the Member of Parliament for Atebubu/Amanten in Brong Ahafo region has suffered his first humiliation following his ban from all public functions. Hon Sanja Nanja according to reports, was driven away from an event to celebrate mothers in the area. The programme was under the auspices of Hon. Vida Moagya, the Assembly woman of a community called Akokoa in the Atebubu/Amantin constituency. According to sources, the NPP parliamentary candidate Mr. Kofi Amoako Hene was invited but surprisingly, Sanja Nanja appeared without any invitation from the organizers.

However the "Baamuhene" of Akokoa saw him [Sanja Nanja] and drew the attention of the organizers to send him away. The organizers were left with no other option than to ask the MP to leave the event grounds for peace to prevail.

Spokesperson of Atebubu Manhene; Mr. Owusu Boye Antwi  said the Assembly woman managed to convince the MP to leave the premises peacefully. Owusu Boye Antwi maintained that the ban on Sanja Nanja is indefinite until the queen mother accepts his apology.

Hon Sanja Nanja has been banned from all public function Atebubu/Amantin after he allegedly insulted the queen mother of the town, Nana Afua Denyina. She has sued the MP for defamation of character and is demanding a sum of GHC 500,000.00 in damages.
