Election 2016: 'I deserve a second term to transform lives' - Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has said he deserves a second term in office to accomplish his unfinished agenda of transforming lives. According to him, the achievements within his first term in office warrants continuity, hence his plea to the electorate. President Mahama, who is continuing his day two accounting to the people tour of the Northern Region, said this while addressing the chiefs and people of the Mamprugu traditional area. According to him, the roads, water expansion, health and educational facilities are some of the numerous projects his administration has so far executed in the region.

He appealed to the chiefs and people of Mamprugu land to remain law abiding citizens before, during and after the 2016 polls. President Mahama is optimistic the elections will be generally peaceful and called for their massive support.

He promised to deepen transparency and accountability saying, “Being transparent and accountable to the sovereign people of Ghana is another pillar of our social democracy and this is the reason why I have embarked on accounting to the people tour to interact with the chiefs and people, inaugurate projects, inspect ongoing projects and cut sod for new projects to start and also to absorb feedback from our citizenry.”
