Ghana ranked 36th position in latest Fifa World Ranking

Ghana have been ranked 36th position in the latest Fifa World Ranking released on Thursday, one place better than they did in June - with a corresponding increase in total accumulated points by 21. Placed 25th in July last year, Ghana now find themselves between Cote d’Ivoire (35) and Albania (37) on the ladder. The Black Stars’ last assignment was a 2-0 away win over Mauritius in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June.

On the continental level, Ghana is still third behind Algeria (32) and Cote d’Ivoire (35), and ahead of Senegal (41) and Egypt (43). Tunisia (45), Cameroon (53), Morocco (54), Congo DR (59) and Mali (61) complete the top 10.
