Corruption-friendly President Is Mahama – Freddie Blay

Freddie Blay, Acting chairman of the New Patriotic Party,  has accused President Mahama, of being friendly to corruption. He said Mahama has done nothing to fight corruption since he assumed the presidency. Mr. Blay who was addressing a news conference Wednesday, dared the President to make an example of
DVLA Officials whose negligence has caused the state some financial loss by punishing them severely. “President John Mahama has shown to be extremely soft on corruption, infact it can be said that he is very friendly to corruption, this is because findings of clear cases of corruption end up with hardly any prosecution. “We call on the President to make this DVLA matter an exception. He should let Ghanaians see him turning a new page on his attitude to corruption. “The president must allow all those who are allegedly implicated in the corruption at DVLA to be investigated and if necessary prosecuted. The business of to err is human should not be entertained,” Mr. Blay said. Ahead of the presentation of the 2016 budget on Friday, the acting NPP Chair asked the Finance Minister not to inflate cost of projects to cream off excess for election year spending.
