Bekwai: Hit and run driver kills SDA dawn preacher

 A 45 year-old Seventh-Day Adventist Church (SDA) preacher met his untimely death Sunday morning when he was hit and run over by a careless driver. The deceased, Akwasi Boateng as usual was embarking on his dawn preaching at around 4:am Sunday when a speedy driver knocked him, killing him instantly.

This unfortunate incident happened at Tanfo Aduam near Ashanti Bekwai in the Ashanti Region. According to reports, the deceased, Akwasi Boateng died on the road side whiles preaching at dawn, around 4am.

An eyewitness told Adom News that, the deceased, Akwasi Boateng was crossing the road to enable him preach to other communities when he was knocked down by the vehicle. The driver whom he said was driving on top speed, failed to stop when he noticed Mr. Boateng had died.

A family member in an interview with Adom News said the body of the SDA evangelist was dismembered beyond recognition so they had to bury him instantly. “We had to put the scattered body parts in a sack to enable us convey it to the cemetery. It is very sad” he bemoaned. Meanwhile, the Bekwai district police has begun mounted a manhunt for the hit and run driver pending investigations.
