Lagos: Mayowa Ahmed passes away in South African hospital

Ahmed Mayowa, an ovarian cancer patient, has been reported dead. Mayowa died on Sunday at an undisclosed hospital in South Africa where she was receiving treatment. One of her relations, Asiwaju Foye, broke the news of her death.

Akatsi: 25-year-old pupil teacher kills 5-year-old boy

Atigah Koame Agbessi, a 25-year-old pupil teacher, has been arrested by the Akatsi Police in the Volta region for allegedly murdering a 5-year-old boy in the area. Atigah, who reportedly carried out the act at Anta-Estate a suburb of Akatsi, was in process of burying the victim, when he was seen by a passer-by removing the body from a sack.

Donation of outboard motors by President John Mahama to fishermen in the Western Region has been described as an abuse of incumbency by Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency. The President Mahama who was in the region for a four-day visit, donated some outboard motors to fishermen in Axim ahead of the polls in December.
