Rumours going on around sports circles has it that Kumasi Asante Kotoko is having challenges within it's executive. Fortunes of the club has dwindled lately and the 2015 League Champions seems set to go trophy-less this season. Asante Kotoko recently lost the Otumfour Cup 1-3 to Ashanti Gold FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Ashanti Gold FC is the new Premier League Champion.According to reliable sources, a concerned and well meaning supporter popularly called 'Champion' is spearheading the campaign to get a new white coach to take over the head coach job or take the Technical head position. This development may eventually affect the position of the CEO if it is not handled well according to some supporters.
Kotoko in the last season narrowly missed being relegated by a hair's breath although they still have an appeal pending against the six points deducted from their points build up following a protest from Accra Hearts of Oak. Many sports analysts are concerned about this new development as the team prepares for an Asian tour soon.
