NPP Launches Electronic ID Card For Members



The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched it's new electronic ID Card for it's members. The media launch of the card would enable members to register at any location around the world.
Holders of the new identity card can now transact business with their cards just
as other debit cards used worldwide. The Electronic card would also serve as a payment system for all its members and sympathizers to contribute financially towards the running of the party and the reduction of  fake cards by unauthorized companies to unsuspecting members of the NPP. This initiative, will ensure a dubious-free process and enhance payment of their dues. During the launch, the National Chairman Mr. Paul Awentami Afoko, urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the elephant family in the 2016 general elections. This will enable Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo address the challenges confronting the nation. “The NPP government from 2017 will be innovative in addressing the needs of Ghanaians,” Mr. Afoko said.  He was optimistic of the new website and urged all members to explore the infrastructure that would address the needs of a modern political party like the New Patriotic Party.
 On his part, the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong demonstrated how the portal,www.nppcentre.org, with it's multi-task approach will help the party in its fundraising efforts, gathering of data and an information hub that will update party officers and its sympathizers worldwide on party information and organization, especially the upcoming 2016 elections. Permanex, IT experts in charge of the website, commended the party for putting up this website which is the first of it's kind in Africa's Political landscape. He urged all political parties to adopt same. Present at the media Launch were some Parliamentary candidates, National/ Regional/Constituency officers and a host of media personnel from Ghana. Some Business executives, diplomatic corps and IT experts were also present to witness what has been described as a “First class modern day infrastructure for a political Party.”
