35-year-old Married Woman head-buts husband for marrying another woman

Regina Boatemaa, a 35-year-old woman is suing her husband, Dukum Gyan, for marrying another woman without her consent at Pedi in the Brong Ahafo Region. According to Boatemaa, her husband advised her to go live with her parents due to financial constraints. The man relocated to Pedi in the Jaman South District in search of greener pasture. However, months later, Boatemaa said she was told her husband was getting married. “I have been married to him for two years and because of financial issues, I had to stay with my parents so that when he is well financially, he can rent a place for me. I was in the house only to be informed by some friends that my husband is marrying a different woman,” she said.

 Regina Boatemaa, who could not have patience, stormed the church where the wedding was taking place and scattered the wedding before the Pastor could pronounce her husband and his lover “husband and wife”.

 According to reports, the angry woman head-butted her husband which led to the suspension of the marriage proceedings. An eyewitness said hell was let loose when a fight ensued, and relatives of the new bride attacked Boatemaa and tore her clothes to shreds.

 As the fight continued, the shocked man sat down dazed in one corner of the church and observed the whole drama playing out before him. But Regina Boatemaa, who claims her husband has betrayed her, has threatened to drag him to the court for compensation.
