The people of Sefwi Adjoafua in the Western Region are living in fear after thousands of large insects believed to be millipedes invade the town. Some residents who spoke to Adom News said, the insects that has been in the town for the past three weeks have been tormenting them.
They indicated that, the insects have destroyed several acres of farms and causing skin diseases as well as poisoning their foods. According to them, they have survived after using petrol to control them spreading since the mass spraying by the assembly did not solve the issue.
They described the invasion of these arthropods in the last few weeks as quite alarming and needs urgent attention since their lives are at risk. Meanwhile assembly man for the area, Aboagye Ntori speaking to Adom News said his outfit will partner with the DCE for the area to bring the situation under control.
